Have you considered doing volunteer work while you are searching for a job? Just to keep you 'out there' and feeling better about the frustrating process of job hunting?
@Kat Its only the job thing that has me down... however, everything else in my life is going amazing!
I've considered volunteering and had gone to a few volunteering fairs and expos. I love the idea of it and would want to participate... I've volunteered before and it sure is rewarding, but my situation is complicated.
I don't want to be a Negative Nancy... but I'm kind of at a point where I have to seriously watch my money. I can't exactly go out too much because I can't pay for public transportation and gas. Things like that add up. I leave the house only when its absolutely necessary.
I've considered a lot of things. I wish I could just work "any ol' job" but in the past, that's what caused my flare-ups; work-related stress. I really don't want to repeat history.
Sure, every job has stress, but I'm sure it will be different if I believe in the work that I do.
I've worked at a place related to my field only once and it was short lived. But I loooved it and I never experienced symptoms even when it got stressful or I had to work overtime. It felt right. Things were great until the company collapsed.
As a last-resort-all-or-nothing strategy, I'm giving this a go because I just have a gut feeling (no pun intended) that its the right thing to do! :)
